Tech User Certification Assessment

Prerequisites 

Before taking the assessment, please complete the Business User Certification and API integration course to familiarise yourself with Spark. 

Overview

Congratulations on investing in becoming a Coherent Spark Certified Tech User!

As a technical user, you'll test the Coherent Spark service and integrate APIs with other third-party applications. Business users can also generate standardized APIs, streamlining the integration process and enabling testing and validation at scale.

By obtaining certification, you'll gain the knowledge and skills to accelerate business software speed to market from months to days, and showcase your credentials to others in your organization or on social media like Linkedin.

About the assessment

Our online certification assessment will be conducted to evaluate your knowledge and expertise as a Coherent Spark Tech User.

Assessment format: 17 multiple choice/multiple-select questions
Time allotted: Up to 60 Minutes
Passing score: 85% (at least 15 of 17 questions correct)
Retake policy: If you fail the assessment, don't worry, you can retake it. We'll provide feedback on the areas you need to revisit based on the questions you didn't pass. Please note that the questions may be different from the previous test as we randomly select questions from a question bank.
Assessment delivery method: Online 
Prerequisites: It is mandatory that you take the relevant courses to prepare for the assessment.

Resources

We have plenty of resources available within our courses, including readings, exercises, and practice questions. We also encourage you to take advantage of the User Guide available on Coherent Spark.

Once you login to Spark, click on your initials on the head menu, then go to the User Guide. You can either follow the navigation menu on the left to browse the content or use the search function in the top right corner to find a specific topic. 

FAQ

Q1: How long does it take to study for the assessments?
A1: Based on your level of experience, the preparation time varies. We suggest that new Coherent Spark Tech Users set aside at least 1 hour to go through everything within the certification path including the practice activities.
Already experienced? Feel free to prioritise your studying around the specific topics from the assessment guide that you may be less familiar with.

Q2: Where can I see my assessment score?
A2: Once you complete the assessment, your assessment score will appear on-screen.
Please remember to take a screenshot of your score report before exiting your assessment.

Q3: Can I use a tablet or other device to prepare and earn a credential?
A3: The courses and assessments can be accessible on tablets, smartphones and/or other devices.

Q4: How do I add my credentials to LinkedIn?
A4: Once you pass the assessment, you will receive an email with a link to download your certificate. You can click on the email link to add the certificate to your Linkedin. Alternatively, you can go to your Profile page and add it to Linkedin manually.

NOTE: If you don’t see an email in your inbox, please make sure to check your spam, junk and Others folder. If you still haven’t received an email containing your assessment results, you can go back to view your results on your profile page.

Q5: What if I did not receive an email with my certificate?
A5: Sometimes due to firewall issues, emails get blocked or are sent to your junk or spam folder. In any case, feel free to reach out to campus@coherent.global for help.

Q6: When will my certification expire?

The certificate will be valid for 12 months from the certification date as we will add more features and enhancements to Coherent Spark over the next 12 months. To retain your certification, you will need to re-take the revised version of the exam. Some courses may also be updated to reflect the new Spark features, so please make sure to go through them once more before a re-attempt.

To check your certification expiration date, please follow the measures below:

1. Log on to Coherent Campus
2. Select the profile image icon located in the top right corner
3. Click on “My Profile” link
4. Go to Registrations and locate your certificate. Under the Certification Expiration column, check the expiration date on the certificate.
