Admin User Certification Assessment

Here are a few things to know before you get started. Having the skills necessary to manage users, groups, API keys and Coherent Spark Assistant installation is vital in preparations to become a Coherent Spark Certified Admin. Real-world experience as a Coherent Spark admin as well as experience working in the admin console is preferable and strongly recommended for this assessment.

In order to fortify your skills and verify your proficiency as a Coherent Spark admin, we built this program to prepare you for the assessment.

Before taking the assessment, please complete the short courses in the certification track  Admin Users Certification.

Overview

It’s great to see you invest in yourself to become a Coherent Spark Certified Admin! Nice to have you joining the Coherent Spark user community!

Coherent Spark is our no-code solution that instantly converts your spreadsheet business logic – such as rules, calculations, or data models of any complexity – into ready-to-use APIs.

Being a Coherent Spark Admin gives you great flexibility in managing users and their access to the Coherent Spark tenant. The admin dashboard also provides insights into API calls so you can better monitor Coherent Spark usage for project success. API key management features enable you to pass API keys to the IT team for their third-party integration. For better security, you also have control over which groups have access to the Coherent Spark APIs and for how long.

If you have a strong understanding of Coherent Spark’s features and have hands-on experience administering Coherent Spark, managing your team and API keys; then, validate your skills through the certification program and be recognized for your expertise in administering Coherent Spark tenants.

About the assessment

In order to determine a candidate's skill as a certified Coherent Spark Admin, an online certification assessment will be conducted and will evaluate the candidate's knowledge.

Assessment format: 17 multiple-choice/multiple-select questions
Time allotted: Up to 45 Minutes
Passing score: 85% (at least 15 of 17 questions correct)
Retake policy: If you fail the assessment, don't worry, you can retake it. We'll provide feedback on the areas you need to revisit based on the questions you didn't pass. Please note that the questions may be different from the previous test as we randomly select questions from a question bank.

Once you login to Spark, click on your initial on the head menu, then go to the User Guide. You can either follow the navigation menu on the left to browse the content or use the search function in the top right corner to find a specific topic. 

FAQ

Q1: How long does it take to study for the assessments?
A1: Based on your level of experience, the preparation time varies. We suggest that new Coherent Spark Admin Users set aside at least 2-5 hours to go through everything within the certification track, including the practice activities.
Already experienced? Feel free to prioritise your studying around the specific topics from the assessment guide that you may be less familiar with.

Q2: Where can I see my assessment score?
A2: Once you complete the assessment, your assessment score will appear on-screen.
Please remember to take a screenshot of your score report before exiting your assessment.

Q3: Can I use a tablet or other device to prepare and earn a credential?
A3: The courses and assessments can be accessible on tablets, smartphones and/or other devices.

Q4: How do I add my credentials to LinkedIn?
A4: Once you pass the assessment, you will receive an email with a link to download your certificate. You can click on the email link to add the certificate to your Linkedin. Alternatively, you can go to your Profile page and add it to Linkedin manually.

NOTE: If you don’t see an email in your inbox, please make sure to check your spam, junk and others folder. If you still haven’t received an email containing your assessment results, you can go back to view your results on your profile page.

Q5: What if I did not receive an email with my certificate?
A5: Sometimes due to firewall issues, emails get blocked or are sent to your junk or spam folder. In any case, feel free to reach out to campus@coherent.global for help.

Q6: When will my certification expire?

The certificate will be valid for 12 months from the certification date as we will add more features and enhancements to Coherent Spark over the next 12 months. To retain your certification, you will need to retake the revised version of the exam. Some courses may also be updated to reflect the new Spark features, so please make sure to go through them once more before a re-attempt.

To check your certification expiration date, please follow the measures below:

1. Log on to Coherent Campus
2. Select the profile image icon located in the top right corner
3. Click on “My Profile” link
4. Go to Registrations and locate your certificate. Under the Certification Expiration column, check the expiration date on the certificate.
